UNICCO received healthcare supplies for Nimba County, Liberia

Liberia, UNICCO, global community, medical missionFor fourteen years, Liberia’s civil war destroyed families, communities, and their ability to meet healthcare needs. Now the war is over, but the damage remains. People are left with poor living conditions and face disease. On Friday, October 4, the United Nimba Citizen’s Council picked up thirteen pallets of healthcare supplies from HERO to send overseas to their counterparts in Liberia.

The United Nimba Citizen’s Council helps rebuild Nimba County, a county of Liberia, through unity, advocacy, public education and networking among its membership. One of the objectives of the organization is to improve the quality of education, healthcare, and community development among UNICCO members both in Liberia and in the United States.

Their partnership with HERO, Healthcare Equipment Recycling Organization will assist with this objective. The representatives from UNICCO were so grateful for the supplies they received; they even brought lunch for HERO staff!

Posted below, you’ll hear more about their group and how HERO will impact our global community in Liberia.
